In 2015, the Minister of Education and Culture, upon receiving a recommendation from the Museum Council, allocated a total of 108,660,000 kr. from the Museum Fund. Of this, project grants totaling 69,660,000 kr. were awarded to 86 projects, in addition to 39,000,000 kr. being allocated for operating grants to 37 museums. A total of 130 project applications were received, and grants ranged from 250,000 kr. to 2 million kr.
