1. Presentation case
- Overview of the council's activities since the last meeting.
- The 2022 supplemental allocation has been approved, with the Minister of Culture allocating 17,923,000 kr. from the 2022 supplemental allocation of the Museum Fund. A total of 58 grants were awarded to 38 accredited museums; 35 grants are for continuing education projects and course offerings, and 23 grants are for other projects.
The total allocation for 2022 from the collections fund is therefore 224,413,000. Proposals for the main 2023 grant allocation from the collections fund are now under consideration by the Minister of Culture.
- Action Plan for the Strategy for Museum Work was presented and discussed, and Jóhanna Símonardóttir from Sjá Consulting was a guest at the meeting.
2. Matters for decision
- The 2023 Museum Board's work plan was approved.
- Monitoring visit reports for three collections were approved.
