1. Presentation case
- Overview of the council's activities since the last meeting. Discussion of the action plan working group and the MOI! project.
- Draft form for the 2022 Annual Report for Accredited Museums was presented. The report will be sent to the museums in the coming days with a deadline of September 30.
- A field trip by the board of trustees was discussed; it will take place in early November and will visit museums in South Iceland.
- The 2022 supplemental allocation was discussed, but applications will open in October.
2. Matters for Decision
- Annual Report of the Museum Council 2021 approved.
- Forms for the 2023 main allocation and the application process timeline were approved.
3. Other matters
Ágústa Kristófersdóttir from the National Museum of Iceland spoke about the Westfjords Museum's thinning plan for the unregistered boat, Jörundur. The National Museum has no objections to the culling of the boat, and the Museum Council concurs with that position. Based on the information presented, the Museum Council believes that the Westfjords Museum's formal procedure for culling in this case is exemplary.
