- Summary of activities since the last meeting.
- Cecilie Gaihede, Director of Sarps, presented the functionality of the Sarps registration system and answered the council's questions.
- Most of the letters of appointment to the Museum Council from January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2020, that the Ministry of Education and Culture sent to council members in December 2016, had an incorrect end date for the appointment. The letters stated that the appointment was from January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2019, which is incorrect. The correct end date is December 31, 2020, as stated in the ministry's letter to the museum board, and this is hereby corrected.
- Draft new procedures for the distribution of the museum fund were presented for review and discussion. The final version will be presented at the next museum board meeting for approval.
- The Ministry of Education and Culture made no comments on the Museum Council's proposals for a new procedure for allocating funds from the Museum Fund, which the council approved at its 184th meeting. The Executive Director presented these new ideas at the Museum Professionals' Workshop, held in Patreksfjörður from October 2-5.

- Application form for the 2019 supplemental allocation of the collections fund approved. It was approved to delete due to Continuing education grant for museum staff that it would be possible to apply for that funding category for informal learning journeys.
- Two application forms for the 2020 main allocation of the collection fund were approved. This is because General grant application on the one hand and Application for a Grant of Excellence on the other hand.
