Minutes of the 12th meeting of the Museum Council, at Lyngás 7, Garðabær,
October 17, 2002, at 11:15 AM.
Present were: Margrét Hallgrímsdóttir, Álfheiður Ingadóttir, Karla Kristjánsdóttir, Gísli Sverrir Árnason, and Sigrún Ásta Jónsdóttir. Auður Sigurðardóttir took the minutes.
MH called the meeting to order and presented the minutes of the 11th meeting.
1. Applications to the museum fund for the year 2003.
Applications to the museum fund for the year 2003 were reviewed.
A total of 70 applications have been received by the museum fund.
The chairman was tasked with writing a letter to the Parliament's Budget Committee and the Ministry of Education, outlining the number of applications and the need they reflect. The vice chair of the Museum Council, Gísli Sverrir Árnason, a representative of the Association of Icelandic Municipalities, will request a meeting with the Budget Committee.
2. Notice of a staff member of the Board of Trustees
A draft announcement for a staff member of the Council of Museums was presented, and a new draft will be sent to the council members.
3. Procedural Rules
Procedural rules will be sent to the council members, and comments will be requested. A new draft will be presented for approval at the next meeting.
Nothing further was discussed. The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 PM.
