The Museum Council invites you to the 2019 Allocation Invitation on the occasion of the main allocation from the museum fund 2019, on Monday, April 29, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the National Gallery of Iceland.
Is the invitation held following a joint spring meetings of the main museums, the Art Museum of Iceland, the Natural History Museum of Iceland and the National Museum of Iceland.
Recipients of project grants from the 2019 Museum Fund will receive recognition certificates and light refreshments will be served. Link to Facebook event is here.
A total of ISK 113,850,000 was allocated from the main allocation of the Museum Fund 2019 last March, but the Minister of Education and Culture allocates funds from the Museum Fund after receiving the Museum Council's opinion.
This time, 85 project grants were awarded for a total of 84,250,000 ISK, in addition to 29,600,000 ISK in operating grants to 37 recognized museums. Information about the grants can be found at here.
