In November 2022, a handbook was published on „Preventive Conservation of Textile Works“ by Thordis Anna Baldursdottir, conservator, as the project received a grant from the 2020 main allocation of the Museum Fund.
The introduction to the manual states that it covers registration, condition monitoring, material and technical weaknesses, treatment, packing and finishing, freezing, cleaning, installation, environment, and the handling of textiles in an emergency. Examples of packing and
installation of textile works, where conditions in the storage and exhibition spaces had to be taken into account.
