The Museum Council, the Icelandic Section of ICOM and FÍSOS are inviting you to a symposium at the Museum House on Hverfisgata on Monday, May 9th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM under the title: We are not talking about storage facilities – but preservation buildings!

The monitoring and preservation status of museums across the country will be discussed – as well as the challenges we face – with speakers coming from various backgrounds and possessing extensive knowledge and experience in museum operations.

Agenda:

13:00 – Þóra Björk Ólafsdóttir, Director of the Museum Council, will host a symposium. Address by the moderator, Aníta Elefsen, Director of the Icelandic Herring Museum and Chair of FÍSOS.
