New regulation enters into force on January 29th

Maximum number of people in museums now 100 people in each quarantine space, with a maximum of 500 people.

New regulations on limiting gatherings due to the pandemic will come into effect on January 29th and will remain in effect until February 24th.

The following restrictions apply in museums:

  • Museums may accommodate 100 people. in each compartment including children.
  • For every 10 m² in excess of 100 m², five customers can be added, up to a maximum of 500 people. Please note that this applies to the museum's traditional activities, not events organized by the museum or others.
  • A one-meter distance rule is in effect.
  • Mask requirement is in museums where the one-meter distance rule cannot be maintained. The mask requirement does not apply to children born in 2006 or later.

The general rules are:

  • General crowd restrictions are 50 people.
  • The distance rule is 1 meter.
  • Mask obligation remains unchanged, although it generally takes into account the distance rule.

Museums also need to:

  • Ensure access to hand sanitizer for the public and employees at entrances and near surfaces that many people touch, such as touch screens and cash registers.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are touched by many people as often as possible.
  • Remind the public and employees about personal protective equipment with labels and signs
