New regulation – Changed rules for museums

20 people in each quarantine room - including employees and children older than 2015.

The Museum Council draws attention to new regulation no. 440/2021 about gathering restrictions.

The 20-person crowd restriction will take effect from April 15th and is scheduled to last for 3 weeks, until May 5th. As before, museums fall under other public spaces when it comes to definition. The new regulation on gathering restrictions states in Article 3. Crowd restriction: “Furthermore, it shall be ensured in all workplaces and in all activities such as museums that there are no more than 20 individuals in the same space at the same time.”

If circumstances and facilities permit, museums can set up quarantine rooms and then receive more visitors. Each defined room must be clearly separated. They must have their own entrance and exit, and no sharing is permitted between rooms. • The maximum number of people in the same space is 20 people, including employees.
  • Children born in 2015 and later do not count towards the maximum number or proximity restrictions.
  • Masks are mandatory for everyone born in 2005 and older.
  • The proximity limit will be two meters between unrelated parties.
  • Where social distancing cannot be maintained, the use of a face mask is mandatory.
  • It must be ensured that there is no mixing of individuals between compartments, neither in the entrance/exit, toilet facilities, catering or other services, and that the fullest possible infection control measures are observed.

Software protection:

  • All shops, public buildings and other indoor places with high levels of human contact should be cleaned as often as possible, especially common contact surfaces.
  • The public and employees should be reminded of individual infection prevention measures, such as verbally, through markings or signs.
  • Good ventilation should be ensured where there is a lot of human contact and air out regularly.
