Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24, all museums must close their doors to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The Museum Council has prepared a poster (see PDF version here and JPG version here) which museums can print out and hang in the museum window due to the museum's closure if appropriate. The text is based on the texts published on the government's COVID-19 response website and adapted only for the museums. The documents can also be published on the museums' websites.
The text on the posters is in both Icelandic and English. Updated posters will be posted as and when there are changes to the ban on gatherings.
