New regulation – more extensive restrictions for museums from February 8th

New regulations on gathering restrictions will come into effect on Monday, February 8. There will now be a maximum number of visitors allowed in museums. 150 people based on square footage.

In Regulation No. 123/2021 states: "Museums, such as libraries and archives, art museums, historical museums, natural history museums and technology museums, are permitted to accept five guests per 10 m², with a maximum of 150 guests per space, provided that the conditions for mask use and the 2-meter distance limit are met."

This means that the minimum size of the space that the maximum number of guests, 150 people, can occupy at any one time is 300 m² (square meters). If the space is smaller, the museum needs to calculate how many people can be in each quarantine area.

All shops, public buildings and other indoor locations with high levels of human contact should be cleaned as often as possible, especially common surfaces. In addition, the public and employees should be reminded of individual infection prevention measures, such as verbally, through signage or signs.

Access to hand sanitizer must be ensured at all entrances and in as many areas as deemed necessary, including at checkouts and shopping carts in stores.

Provisions regarding crowd restrictions, proximity restrictions, and mask requirements do not apply to children born in 2005 and later.

The proximity limit will be two meters between unrelated parties.
