 
			      The Minister of Education, Science and Culture, after receiving the opinion of the Museum Council, has allocated 47 continuing education grants to recognized museums from the additional allocation of the Museum Fund for 2019, totaling ISK 12,186,800.
Two types of grants were awarded, Continuing Education for Museum Employees on the one hand and Courses/Lecturers on the other. Continuing Education for Museum Employees can be used, among other things, to pursue formal education or as a travel and subsistence grant for museum staff exchanges. The Courses/Lecturers grant type is intended as a grant for courses or lectures within Iceland that could benefit a larger group of museum staff.
This time, 29 recognized museums received a total of 47 continuing education grants, ranging from ISK 52,000 to ISK 300,000 each. 40 grants of the type Continuing Education for Museum Employees were awarded, totaling ISK 10,166,800, and 7 grants of the type Courses/Lecturers were awarded, totaling ISK 2,020,000.
