Minutes of the 83rd meeting of the Museum Council – special meetings
August 18, 2009, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Setberg, National Museum of Iceland
Present: Margrét Hallgrímsdóttir, chairman, Halldór Björn Runólfsson, Helgi Torfason, AlmaDís Kristinsdóttir and Rakel Halldórsdóttir.
1. Myndstef's new fee schedule for copyrighting visual works. The Museum Council has received a letter from the Ministry of Education, dated 9 July 2009, requesting the Museum Council's opinion on the new fee schedule for the Icelandic Museum of Fine Arts for copyrighted works. The Museum Council was given until 19 August to submit its opinion on the matter and was therefore called for an extraordinary meeting. The Museum Council discussed the letter and the new fee schedule and approved the opinion (see attached).
2. Next meeting and other matters. The next meeting is scheduled according to the 2009 meeting schedule, Thursday, August 27th.
There was no further discussion and the meeting adjourned at 4:00 PM/RH.
