Stricter measures from noon on July 31st – 100 person limit and 2-meter rule reinstated

Information for museums and their visitors regarding stricter measures

At noon on July 31st, stricter measures will come into effect domestically and at the borders due to COVID-19, lasting for two weeks, until August 13th. The decision is in accordance with the Chief Epidemiologist's recommendations, which have been approved by the Minister of Health. The stricter measures include:

  • The limit on the number of people who can gather is 100. Children born in 2005 or later are excluded.
  • Wherever people gather and in all activities, the rule of maintaining at least 2 meters between individuals will be observed.
  • Museums, entertainment venues and other public places will suspend operations it is not possible to ensure that the number of people is limited or that the distance between unrelated parties is more than 2 meters.
  • Shops, public buildings and service companies that are open to the public should ensure access to hand sanitizer for the public and employees at the entrance and near surfaces that many people touch, such as touch screens and cash registers, thoroughly clean and disinfect surfaces as often as possible, and remind the public and employees of individual infection prevention measures through markings and signs.
