The Museum Council has compiled a summary of the allocations from the museum fund from the first allocation in 2002 to 2012. Here you can see an overview of allocations and reconciliations. In total, the Council has allocated almost 830 million in these ten years. The overview can be seen here.

In the winter of 2011-12, the Museum Council commissioned statistical data from the application data for 2011. The report was prepared by Þóra Björk Ólafsdóttir, a business graduate who was an intern at the Museum Council. The report can be accessed here.

Allocation from the museum fund 2012

58 organizations applied for grants from the Museum Fund for 2012. The total amount of grants awarded was ISK 110,320,000. ISK 47,700,000 was awarded in operating grants and ISK 62,720,000 in project grants. 44 museums received operating grants from the fund, but all operating grants were of the same amount. 53 museums received project grants from the fund.
