The Museum Council is advertising applications for museum accreditation.

The Museum Council is advertising for applications for recognition of museums according to the Museums Act No. 141/2011. The Museum Council will make a proposal for recognition of a museum to the Minister of Education and Culture if the applicant meets the Museum Council's requirements for recognition according to the Museums Act and Regulation No. 900/2013. Information about the requirements and a template for the application can be found on the Museum Council's website. The application deadline for the application to be considered in 2013 is November 15th.

The last day to apply for the museum fund was March 26. Applications will be discussed at the next meeting of the council and proposals for allocation will be sent to the minister following that meeting. The fund received a total of 60 applications this year.
