The Museum Council invites you to the 2019 Allocation Invitation on the occasion of the main allocation from the Museum Fund 2019, Monday 29 April at 16.30 – 18.00 at the National Gallery of Iceland. The invitation is held following the joint spring meeting of the main museums, the National Gallery of Iceland, the Natural History Museum of Iceland and the National Museum of Iceland. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, after receiving the Museum Council's opinion, allocated a total of ISK 113,850,000 from the Museum Fund. Agreement between Myndstef and museums on the visual publication of copyrighted works

A working group under the auspices of the National Gallery of Iceland has, together with Myndstefi, the copyright association of visual artists, worked on an agreement on the publication of copyrighted works from the collections of recognized museums and state museums. Additional allocation 2018 – continuing education grants to recognized museums 2018

The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, after receiving the opinion of the Museum Council, has allocated continuing education grants to recognized museums from the additional allocation of the Museum Fund in 2018, a total of ISK 11,512,100. The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018. The main allocation of the Museum Fund includes both project grants and operating grants from the Museum Fund.
