Breytingar á verklagsreglum samþykktar

Á 164. safnaráðsfundi þann 5. september 2017 voru samþykktar breytingar á Verklagi við mat á umsóknum um styrki úr safnasjóði (almennt kallað verklagsreglur) til samræmis við þær breytingar sem hafa átt sér stað frá síðasta ári. Er þar helst að nefna að kafli um aukaúthlutun úr safnasjóði var settur inn, má kynna sér reglurnar hér.

The annual application deadline for museum recognition is August 31st.

The Museum Council would like to remind you that the last date for submitting applications for recognition under the Museums Act, in order for the application to be processed before the application deadline for the 2018 Museum Fund expires, is August 31, 2017. New Museum Council website launched

The new website of the Museums Council at the URL www.safnarad.is opened on July 20th with a new and improved look. The new site is more accessible than before and easier to access information. The design of the site was in the hands of web designer Jón Ingi Stefánsson and the web editor was Margrét Sveinbjörnsdóttir at Brúarsmiðjan.

Þóra Björk Ólafsdóttir, the director of the Museum Council, took a seat at the turn of the year on the professional council for arts and creative arts at Íslandsstofa. The Íslandsstofa website states: Special professional councils, appointed by the board of Íslandsstofa, contribute to Íslandsstofa becoming a powerful platform for collaboration between industry and government.
