The Museum Council is moving to new premises in Austurstræti.

For the past seven years, the Museum Council's office has been located at Lækjargata 3 in Gimli, a listed building built in 1905. The Museum Council staff bid farewell to the small castle in Lækjargata and thank you for the good times over the past years.

The Museum Council is now based at Austurstræti 5 on the fourth floor. The Museum Council's office will remain there in good stead with other institutions, including: Reykjavík Arts Festival, the Icelandic Literature Centre, the Icelandic Performing Arts Centre, Art for All and the Visual Arts Centre.

We look forward to welcoming museum staff and other guests to our new premises.
