{"id":3234,"date":"2022-08-25T12:40:22","date_gmt":"2022-08-25T12:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/?p=3234"},"modified":"2022-08-30T16:39:22","modified_gmt":"2022-08-30T16:39:22","slug":"umsokn-um-vidurkenningu-safns-samkvaemt-safnalogum-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/en\/frettir\/2022\/08\/umsokn-um-vidurkenningu-safns-samkvaemt-safnalogum-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Application for recognition of a museum according to the Museums Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<p class=\"entry-subtitle\"><span style=\"color: #292b2c; font-size: 1.1em;\">The Museum Council would like to remind you that the last date for submitting applications for recognition according to the Museums Act No. 141\/2011, in order for the application to be reviewed before the application deadline for the museum fund for the year 2023 expires, is <\/span><strong style=\"color: #292b2c; font-size: 1.1em;\">September 15, 2022<\/strong><span style=\"color: #292b2c; font-size: 1.1em;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Ums\u00f3kn-um-vi\u00f0urkenningu-safns22.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The application form for museum recognition can be found here.<\/a>, the following documents must accompany the application:<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li3\">Confirmation from the owner and\/or board of the museum that recognition is requested.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Copy of the annual accounts for the year 2021.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">A copy of the current policy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Copy of collection policy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Copies of emergency plans.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">A copy of the last fire safety inspection.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Copy of operating license from the health inspectorate.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Copy of the latest security systems audit.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">A copy of confirmation of secure financial contributions for the next five years that will ensure the basic operations of the museum.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">A copy of the operating plan for the next five years.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.eydublod.is\/Forms\/Form\/VIDURK-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Applicant Summary Report<\/a>\u00a0for recognition, filled in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/en\/umsoknavefur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museum Council application website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The museum&#039;s charter\/bylaws must also meet the terms of the museum board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information about museum accreditation can be found here.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/en\/log-og-leidbeiningar\/vidurkenning-safna\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Applicants are reminded to save the template before filling it out so that no information is lost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For further information, please contact the Director of the Museums Council at 820-5450.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electronic applications are accepted via email to the following address:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:safnarad@safnarad.is\">safnarad@safnarad.is<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/header>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Museum Council would like to remind you that the last date for submitting applications for recognition according to the Museums Act No. 141\/2011, in order for the application to be reviewed before the application deadline for the museum fund for the year 2023 expires, is September 15, 2022.
