The Museums Council&#039;s supervision of accredited museums is threefold, one part of which is supervision of the operation of the museum, which is done through the Museums Council&#039;s review of <em>Annual Report of Accredited Museums 2017 <\/em>concerning the operating year 2016.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Return to <em>Annual report of recognized museums<\/em> <em>2017<\/em> is through the Museum Council&#039;s application website: <a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.eydublod.is\/Forms\">https:\/\/safnarad.eydublod.is\/Forms<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Login to the application website is through Island.is<\/li>\n<li>Information is requested regarding <strong>operating year 2016<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The report can be printed out and filled out for preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Attachments to be included with the report are: <strong>the museum&#039;s annual financial statements for 2016<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If a museum chooses to submit its annual report for 2016, it can be sent by email to <a href=\"mailto:safnarad@safnarad.is\">safnarad@safnarad.is<\/a><\/li>\n<li>If the museum has not recorded information about the aspects asked about museum visitors, it is recommended that it record this information from now on.<\/li>\n<li>Please leave a blank form. <strong>no later than October 31, 2017 <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Please note \u2013 only accepted <em>Annual report of recognized museums<\/em> <em>2017<\/em> <strong>through <a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.eydublod.is\/Forms\">Museum Council application website<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Further information can be found on the Museum Council&#039;s website: <a href=\"http:\/\/safnarad.is\/en\/umsoknavefur\/\">http:\/\/safnarad.is\/umsoknavefur\/<\/a> or with \u00de\u00f3ra Bj\u00f6rk \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, Director of the Museums Council, <a href=\"mailto:thora@safnarad.is\">thora@safnarad.is<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Museum Council is, according to the Museums Act No. 141\/2011, tasked with supervising accredited museums that operate in accordance with the Museum Council&#039;s terms and conditions for the operation of accredited museums.
