There will be some changes to the composition of the Museum Council in the new year. At the beginning of the year, Ragna \u00c1rnad\u00f3ttir, vice-chairwoman of the Council, resigned as a member of the Museum Council. In her place, Anna Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Kristj\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir has been appointed as the second representative of the Minister to the Council and will succeed Ragna as vice-chairwoman of the Council.<\/p>\n

Margr\u00e9t Hallgr\u00edmsd\u00f3ttir, National Monuments Curator who has served on the Museum Council due to her position, is taking an annual leave from her duties as National Monuments Curator. Anna Gu\u00f0n\u00fd \u00c1sgeirsd\u00f3ttir and Anna L\u00edsa R\u00fanarsd\u00f3ttir will both be appointed as National Monuments Curator in her place. Anna L\u00edsa will attend the Museum Council meetings.<\/div>\n
