Present:<\/strong> \u00d3lafur Kvaran, chairman, Gu\u00f0brandur Benediktsson, Haraldur \u00de\u00f3r Egilsson, Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Bj\u00f6rk J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, Margr\u00e9t Hallgr\u00edmsd\u00f3ttir, National Museum Curator, Halld\u00f3r B. Run\u00f3lfsson, director of the National Gallery of Iceland, and \u00c1g\u00fasta Krist\u00f3fersd\u00f3ttir, vice-chairwoman (absent: Ragna \u00c1rnad\u00f3ttir)<\/span><\/p>\n

1.1. New Museum Act; the chairman introduced the new Museum Act.<\/p>\n

1.2. Director's report: facilities and daily activities of the Museum Board presented.<\/p>\n

1.3. Allocation 2013: the chairman submitted the following proposal for the allocation arrangement in 2013.<\/p>\n

  1. The museum fund's allocation rules from 2010 will be provisionally applied in 2013.<\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  2. The main emphasis will be placed on allocating project grants to museums instead of operating grants.<\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  3. that the increase in operating subsidies due to service contracts be discontinued, but that contractual collaborative projects be taken into account when determining operating subsidies.<\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  4. that the allocation of travel grants be discontinued.<\/span>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The proposal was approved.<\/p>\n

    1.5. Timetable for allocation: agreed that the application deadline for the museum fund will be March 26, 2013, and that a proposal for allocation from the fund will be submitted to the Minister by April 30.<\/p>\n

    1.4. Budget 2013: presented and approved.<\/p>\n

    2.1 Applications for postponement\/change in the use of project grants: applications reviewed and processed.<\/p>\n

    3. Other matters: Congratulations were extended to the National Museum of Iceland on the occasion of the museum's 150th anniversary on February 24th.<\/p>\n

    120th meeting \u2013 meeting time determined between meetings<\/p>\n

    There was no further discussion and the meeting adjourned at 2:30 PM\/AK.<\/p>\n
