Ragna \u00c1rnad\u00f3ttir and Haraldur \u00de\u00f3r Egilsson participated in the meeting via teleconferencing. Also Helga J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir from Capacent.<\/span><\/p>\n Topic of the meeting:<\/strong> Decision on the appointment of the Director of the Museums Council.<\/span><\/p>\n a. <\/span> The chairman began by reviewing the progress of the matter: In collaboration with Capacent staff, all members of the museum council actively participated in the work and decisions throughout the process. It was stated that all attendees were satisfied with the process as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n b. <\/span> An advertisement for the position was published at the end of September. 44 applications were received, eleven of which met all the requirements according to the advertisement. Six applicants were invited for interviews, two of which performed best and were invited for follow-up interviews.<\/span><\/p>\n c. <\/span> These two candidates were discussed and the attendees gave their opinions.
