Present: Vilhj\u00e1lmur Bjarnason, Chair; Gunnhildur \u00c1sta Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir, Vice Chair; Helga L\u00e1ra \u00deorsteinsd\u00f3ttir; Inga L\u00e1ra Baldvinsd\u00f3ttir; and Hlynur Hallsson.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended on behalf of the principal collections: For the National Gallery of Iceland: Ingibj\u00f6rg J\u00f3hannsd\u00f3ttir; for the National Museum of Natural History of Iceland: Ragnhei\u00f0ur Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir; for the National Museum of Iceland: Harpa \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n

Staff of the Board of Trustees: \u00de\u00f3ra Bj\u00f6rk \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, Executive Director, who writes the minutes, and Klara \u00de\u00f3rhallsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n

1. Matter for presentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. Overview of the council's activities since the last meeting.<\/li>\n
  2. The application deadline for the 2025 main allocation of the museum fund was last November 6. There were 150 one-year applications totaling 336,261,256 kr. from 44 accredited museums and 3 other entities. There were 10 excellence applications from 9 museums, totaling 128,230,000 kr for 3 years, and 51,300,000 kr for 2025.<\/li>\n
  3. A memo regarding a consultation meeting between the Council for the Arts and the Minister of Culture, to be held later in November, was reviewed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Matters for Decision<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    1. Proposal for the rules of the advisory meeting of the Minister of Culture and Commerce and the professional association of the museum sector, as specified in Article 7 of the Museum Act No. 141\/2011, was approved.<\/li>\n
    2. Approval of nomination to the Eastland Heritage Board; Elfa Hl\u00edn Sigr\u00fanar P\u00e9tursd\u00f3ttir is nominated on behalf of the Museum Board.<\/li>\n
    3. A proposal from the National Museum regarding the deaccessioning of artifacts from the Reykjanesb\u00e6r Folk Museum was approved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
