Present: Vilhj\u00e1lmur Bjarnason, Chair, Gunnhildur \u00c1sta Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir (Teams), Helga L\u00e1ra \u00deorsteinsd\u00f3ttir, Hlynur Hallsson (Teams), Inga L\u00e1ra Baldvinsd\u00f3ttir, Harpa \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, and \u00de\u00f3ra Bj\u00f6rk \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, Executive Director. Margr\u00e9t Hallgr\u00edmsd\u00f3ttir and Hilmar Malmquist were unable to attend.<\/p>\n

1. Presentation case<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. An overview of the board's activities since the last meeting. Among other things, a letter from Libia Castro and \u00d3lafur \u00d3lafsson regarding events at Hafnarborg in connection with their exhibition was discussed.<\/li>\n
  2. The policy framework for museum work was approved by the Minister of Education and Culture at the end of June and was also presented to the cabinet. This fall, the next steps will be taken, which are the preparation of an action plan and the presentation of the policy framework.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Matters for decision<\/strong><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. The 2020 Annual Report of the Museum Council was approved.<\/li>\n
    2. It was approved that the museum council would go on a promotional trip to the Eastfjords on September 6-8. Recognized museums in the area will be visited.<\/li>\n
    3. Three inspection reports for accredited museums were approved. These are reports from the \u00c1rnessingur Folk Museum, the Design Museum of Iceland, and the \u00c1rnessingur Art Museum..<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. Other issues<\/strong><\/h2>\n

      The council discussed liability portfolios.<\/p>\n
