Monitoring the registration of objects and access to collections and exhibitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The third part of the monitoring began in 2020, with the follow-up and evaluation of grants awarded for cataloging from the 2020 Collections Fund. This is carried out through expert review of cataloging data and on-site, as needed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For registration applications to meet the requirements of the supervisory authority, the following items must be included in the application:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Information that the registrant has expertise in registration.<br \/>\nFor example: if a registration is made in Sarp, the person must have attended a workshop\/course in the system or have experience. It is essential to specify who will be responsible for the registration. The registrant must always log in to the registration system with their own account.<\/li>\n<li>Which collection items should be cataloged and how this will be done.<\/li>\n<li>What is the status of the registration?.<br \/>\nFor example: basic cataloging, final cataloging, or other. Also, specify whether the cataloging is new item cataloging, re-cataloging, or a transfer between systems.<\/li>\n<li>Photographs will be taken and accompany the registration.<\/li>\n<li>Will the registration be published on an external website, for example on sarpur.is?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If funding is received:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>By applying for a grant to register in Sarp, the applicant commits to following the rules for Sarp registration and to contacting the appropriate service provider before the project work begins.<\/li>\n<li>If a grant is awarded, grantees will be sent detailed information about the conditions that registration grants must meet to pass the Council's registration review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grantees shall fill out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/safnarad.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/G\u00e1tlisti-fyrir-styrktarverkefni-fyrir-skr\u00e1ningu-\u00ed-Sarpi-2023.pdf\">Checklists and Agreement for Sponsored Projects\u00a0<span class=\"fontstyle0\">from the collections fund for registration in Sarpi<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Monitoring of alternative item registration and access to collections is in development.<\/h4>\n<p>This refers, for example, to registrations that have already been made and to registrations not funded by the collections fund.
