According to Article 11. Museums Act No. 141\/2011<\/a> A recognized museum may be granted a grant from the state treasury to cover its establishment costs. In order for a grant to be considered, the terms and conditions set by the Museum Council for museum housing must be met, which include provisions for the security and preservation of museum objects. The Ministry of Culture receives and awards applications for establishment grants, but the application must be accompanied by confirmation from the Museum Council that the requested premises meet these terms and conditions.<\/p>\n

Museum Council confirmation<\/h3>\n

The Museum Council's confirmation of an application for a foundation grant from the Ministry of Culture is based on:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. data that the museum sends to the museum board<\/li>\n
  2. a visit by the Museum Council's supervisory committee if applicable<\/li>\n
  3. If applicable \u2013 the museum board may seek other evaluation bodies if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The documents that the Museum Council needs to receive from the museum must confirm that the building for which a grant is being applied for meets the Museum Council's requirements for museum premises. These conditions are under section 4 of the conditions. recognitions<\/a>:<\/p>\n

    1. Housing<\/strong>\n

      1. The museum shall have work permit from the health inspectorate<\/a>\u00a0and submit a copy of it to the museum board upon request.<\/li>\n
      2. The fire department shall conduct regular inspections of the museum's premises, and a copy of the fire department's report shall be submitted to the museum board upon request. Conditions in exhibition and storage premises shall be such that the long-term preservation of artifacts is ensured.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Security issues<\/strong>\n

        1. The museum must have a functioning security system, including fire, burglary and moisture alarms. Confirmation of the functioning of the security systems must be submitted to the museum board upon request.<\/li>\n
        2. The museum shall monitor the amount of light, temperature and humidity in its premises, measurements shall be recorded regularly and information shall be submitted to the museum board upon request.<\/li>\n
        3. A museum must have an emergency plan for staff, visitors and museum resources.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
