  1. Summary of activities since the last meeting.<\/li>\n
  2. Applications are now open for both the 2019 supplemental allocation (application deadline: 4:00 PM, November 25) and the 2020 main allocation (application deadline: December 10). A timeline for the application and evaluation process was presented.<\/li>\n
  3. The Executive Director presented the status of the Gar\u00f0skagi Folk Museum based on information received from the new municipality, Su\u00f0urnesjab\u00e6r, which owns the museum.<\/li>\n
  4. The strategic planning of the museum board was presented, along with what is next on the agenda for that work.<\/li>\n
  5. The third part of the board of trustees' supervision of accredited museums was presented and discussed. Is that Monitoring the registration of objects and access to the collection<\/em>. Proposals for procedures presented, to be approved at the next meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Matters for decision<\/h2>\n

      \nRegarding Part 3 of the monitoring of accredited collections Monitoring the registration of objects and access to collections and exhibitions<\/em>, the following first part of the supervision was approved:
      \nMonitoring of the registration of items is carried out in two ways.<\/strong><\/p>\n
        \n
      • S\u00edmat \u2013 monitoring of registrations processed with grants from the collections fund.<\/strong> This section begins with the 2020 Collections Fund application process. This includes, among other things, that for registration applications to be considered eligible for a grant, they must meet certain requirements. Therefore, additional information is requested in applications for registration grants. By applying for a grant for registration in Sarp, the applicant commits to following the rules for registration in Sarp and to contacting the appropriate service provider before the project work begins.
        \nIf a grant is awarded, grantees will be sent detailed information about the conditions that registration grants must meet to pass the Council's registration review.<\/li>\n
      • New Registrations \u2013 General Oversight of the Registration of Cultural Heritage Objects<\/strong>.
        \nThis part will be detailed later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • The request was approved for the Sarps Registration Council to become a partner of the Museum Council for the third phase of monitoring, for the creation of a checklist\/standard for registration, and for the development of a procedure for the monitoring.<\/li>\n
      • The request from the \u00c1rnessingasafni\u00f0 Museum for its new storage facility to meet the museum board's requirements for the facilities of accredited museums was approved, with one dissenting vote. It was subsequently agreed that in the future, expert opinions will be sought regarding the confirmation that the facilities of accredited museums meet the standards, both during the accreditation process and when confirming that altered or new facilities meet the standards. This will be approved at the beginning of next year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
