Present: \u00d3lafur Kvaran, chairman, Anna Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Kristj\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir, Haraldur \u00de\u00f3r Egilsson, Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Bj\u00f6rk J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, Halld\u00f3r Bj\u00f6rn Run\u00f3lfsson, Hilmar J. Malmquist and \u00de\u00f3ra Bj\u00f6rk \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, managing director. Absent: Gu\u00f0brandur Benediktsson and Margr\u00e9t Hallgr\u00edmsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n

Approval and signing of the minutes of the 146th meeting of the Museum Council.<\/p>\n

  1. Summary of activities since the last meeting.<\/li>\n
  2. Draft allocation of expenses for 2016 presented to the Museum Council<\/li>\n
  3. The 2016 work plan is being formulated and will be presented before the next meeting.<\/li>\n
  4. The Museum Council's Supervisory Role \u2013 The Museum Council is collaborating with the National Museum of Iceland on shaping the Museum Council's supervisory role, and the museum's curator, Nathalie Jaqueminet, is working on the project on behalf of the museum. Ideas for a new procedure were presented to the Museum Council.<\/li>\n
  5. Cost analysis of fees, a procedure for dividing the costs of operating the museum board was introduced.<\/li>\n
  6. Presentation and submission of application documents to the museum fund 2016<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Matter for decision<\/p>\n

    1. Request for a postponement of project processing from the \u00deingeyingi Cultural Center approved.<\/li>\n
    2. Request for a postponement of project processing from the Dalamanna Historical Museum approved.<\/li>\n
    3. A proposal to establish a review group to review the recently published report on museums and tourism was approved. The report will also be sent to major museums, tourism providers and the Icelandic Institute for Tourism for comment.<\/li>\n
    4. The 2016 meeting agenda was presented and approved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Other matters: Halld\u00f3r Bj\u00f6rn spoke about the project Cities for Artists and presented a lecture by a working group on the project that will be held at the Museum on Thursday, January 28, 2016.<\/p>\n
